1,3-Diphenyl-1,3-propanedione, is a minor constituent of licorice found to inhibit mammary tumorigenesis, lymphomas, and leukemias in mice. It acts as a heat stabilizer& antitumour agent. It is used in perfumery and as well as in organic synthesis.

Anwendungen
1,3-Diphenyl-1,3-Propanedion ist ein kleinerer Bestandteil von Lakritz, der nachweislich Brusttumorigenese, Lymphome und Leukämien bei Mäusen hemmt. Dient als Wärmestabilisator und Antitumormittel. Wird sowohl in der Parfümerie als auch in der organischen Synthese verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Ist löslich in Äther, Chloroform und wässrigem Natriumhydroxid. Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Von starken Oxidationsmitteln, sauren Anhydriden, Halogenen und Halogensäuren fernhalten. Stabil unter empfohlenen Lagerbedingungen.
