Anwendungen
1,2,4-Trichlorbenzol wird als Dielektrikum und Wärmeträgerflüssigkeit in Transformatoren verwendet. Es dient als Zwischenprodukt, Entfettungsmittel, Holzkonservierungsmittel und Lösungsmittel für Farbstoffe. Es ist ein Hochtemperatur-Lösungsmittel, das in der Gelpermeationschromatographie, insbesondere für Polyethylen und Polypropylen, verwendet wird. Außerdem wird es als Schmierstoff und als synthetisches Transformatoröl verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Ether, Benzol, CS{2 }. Unmischbar mit Wasser.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
