1,2,4,5-Tetramethylbenzene is the precursor to pyromellitic dianhydride, which is used for manufacturing curing agents, adhesives, coating materials. It is used in the manufacture of some raw materials for engineering plastics (polyimides) and cross-linking agent for alkyd resins.

Anwendungen
1,2,4,5-Tetramethylbenzol ist der Vorläufer für Pyromellitsäuredianhydrid, das zur Herstellung von Härtemitteln, Klebstoffen und Beschichtungsmaterialien verwendet wird. Dient zur Herstellung diverser Ausgangsstoffe für technische Kunststoffe (Polyimide) und als Vernetzungsmittel für Alkydharze.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Alkohol, Ether, Benzol und Aceton. Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Halten Sie den Behälter dicht verschlossen. Kühl und trocken in einem gut versiegelten Behälter lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
